Innovative materials, surprising shapes, lighting designed to create emotions… The collections Arturo Álvarez is presenting in 2017 are the expression of the strong connection and influence on his work of the European Atlantic nature, filled with splendor and mystery. Organic, geometric and even whimsical forms, with different plays of lights and shadows. The simplicity and elegance of the pieces reach the spectator, because they become recognizable and close.
Delicate handcrafted folds originate recognizable shapes from nature in the Ura collection. The different models can be combined freely, and together they create a harmonious game of volumes that shrink and expand, while individually they convey a subtle lightness. The collection is made of painted stainless steel mesh.
Another novelty is Pili, a collection where a single painted stainless steel thread is interwoven, creating random volumes and harmonious wrapping irregularity, full of charm and mystery, through which the whimsical light escapes. It is available in two sizes, which allows for visually stunning compositions when several units are combined.
Shells, seaweeds and corals emerge with great force, full of dynamism and vitality, in the Onn collection, which evokes the sea world. Pendant and ceiling lamps made of painted stainless steel mesh, ideal for walls and ceilings, which allow for interesting compositions through their unusual shapes.
The Ballet collection grows with the addition of a wall lamp model. This family, designed by Héctor Serrano with our SIMETECH® material, was recognized with a Best of Year Award 2016 by renowned Interior Design magazine in the category of Chandelier. Ballet shapes are formed by the superposition or gathering of its vertexes, allowing freedom for the own flexibility of the material. The resulting volumes are fluid and natural due to the tension of SIMETECH®.
